The district Vulkaneifel and the skiing area Schwarzer Mann are about 40 minutes away by car. One can choose from a wide range of recreational activities: Hiking (Eifelsteig), cycling (the 121 km-long Kyll Cycle Route), fishing, climbing, swimming in the volcanic lake, the Eifelpark in Gondorf is only 9 km away.
