=New central heating installed 2014. =The large Circular Fire place, a feature in the open plan living area, doubles as an indoor B.B.Q. We =always have the fire alight to welcome the guests on arrival. =The dining table is set for the evening meal. The chalet is beautifully decorated For Christmas and New Year. =The kitchen is fully equipped with SMEG oven and hob, raclette and fondu sets, and a large kitchen table for food preparation. =Various sport and cultural events take place in the proximity of the chalet : =Grande Odyssee International Dog Sled Event Praz/Sommand (13th January) ( Winter) = International Cross Country Event (end January) in Praz de Lys ( Winter) = Monte Carlo Historic Car Rally end January( winter) =Tour de France (comes through July every second year summer) =International Jazz Festival in Montreux (July) summer =During the winter months (December until April) the house owner offers child care service on request. =It is possible to get a transfer to the ski-slopes, by local bus (It will stop on request in car park outside chalet) =Our local resort, Praz de Lys /Sommand which is ideal for families with children, has plenty of parking at the lifts. Our friend, Jean Pierre owns Sport 2000 (in the centre of Praz de Lys) and gives all our guests 20% discount on ski equipment hire. = Alternatively it is a 10 minute drive to Portes du Soleil, Morzine, Les Gets, Avoriaz and Flaine = The chalet is on the edge of a national park and is ideal for walking with snow shoes, to enjoy the stunning scenery or perhaps see some local wildlife. Ideal for snow shoes walking in snow covered meadows in beautiful sunshine. = Dog sledding and skidoo trips are available in Praz de Lys in addition to the usual winter sports.
