Centret ligger kun ca. 5 km væk fra huset, og der ønsker mere information kan man besøge turistkontoret, som ligger kun få kilometer.

In the immediate vicinity of the cottage are many hiking and mountain biking (VTT)possibilities. The distances vary from 2 to 16 km. At 2 km from the "gîte" mountain bikes can be rented. During a walk you could encounter wild boar, roe deer, badgers, squirrels, stoats and foxes. In the hilly, wooded landscape, flow numerous creeks and rivers. Also in the area you find many old villages and deserted hamlets. Although the environment is ideally suited for nature lovers, there is also a cultural sphere of things to do, such as the beautiful, town Vichy, on the Allier river, with it'smedicinal springs, opera and promenade. Definitely worth a visit. Opposite the cottage is the Saint Vincent Rocher, which can be climbed . At 17 km away is Le Mayet de Montagne, whit it's Monday morning market. Many stalls, featuring cheese, herbs, chicken, wine, clothing, etc. The market is also the meeting place for people from the area. A visit to the basket museum is well worth it. Also good are the waterfalls of Piss Rotten, which are located in a forest environment untouched by humans. Nearby, Chatel Montagne, with her old Roman church, is well worth a visit. Beside the church is a museum with a permanent exhibition on the construction of the church. The museum also has changing exhibitions of regional artists. In Châtel itself live and work a few artists, such as glassblowers. From the waterfalls of Pisserotte one is not far from the caves of the Côte Roannaise. Here delicious red, white and rosé wine scan be tasted. One obtains a a beautiful view from Chateau d'Urfe, a ruin, situated near the town Champoly. Here one is offered a magnificent view of the area with possibilities to see Mont Blanc.( 150 kilometers away ) by claer weather. Nearby are 3 good restaurants, where good regional dishes can be eaten, for relatively modest prices. Some tourist tips: Cusset: Subterranean, medieval fortifications. Lapalisse: To visit the castle and the theme park le PAL Thiers: Knives Town. St. Clement: Plan d'eau with canoe and surfboard rental. St-Remy-sur-Durolle (towards Thiers) also has a large plan d'eau. Arronnes: Romanesque church. St-Haon-le-Vieux: Restored Medieval town. Good to combine with the Côte Roannaise!
